AMAZON - TOUR AUTANA MOUNTAIN
5 Days / 4 Nights
The Amazon State, to the south of Venezuela, is one of the few natural scenes of the planet that even conserves the conditions primigenias of its creation. To go into in is a true adventure, single possible through its rivers and of the access by air to certain points. Once there, it surrounds the beauty and the silence to us of the wild world, where the constant process of renovation of the life and the death does not stop at any moment to generate but life, in the infinite variety of vegetal species and animals, many of endemic them. We even are far from knowing everything what it locks up the nature there, including its mineral wealth.
In those places, that seemed lengthy in the time, it waits for an interminable way to us of enchantment and astonishments: to be present at the fascinating spectacle of that star river that is the milky route, that the cities hide to us due to the atmospheric contamination, while we remain submerged in lukewarm waters red wine of the Atabapo river, devoid of life animal. To cross the 320 Kilometers of stormy waters of the Casiquiare, turned aside of the Orinoco to unite them to the Guainia river and to form the Negro River, that ends at the Amazon. To decipher that indigenous face watching the sky that conforms the rock of Cocuy. Extasiar in the furies of the torrents of Atures and Maipures, of that immense volume of crystalline, terrosas waters, amber and black of but of 700 affluents and tributaries which they integrate our great river Orinoco, whose first drops they arise to 1047 meters of altitude, transforming itself into a sea that crosses 2140 Kilometers, to give itself to another sea: the Atlantic Ocean. And as well as we see rise immense trees up to 80 and 100 meters, also rise mountains like the Marahuaca, the Duida, the Fog, and that pink arenaceous tree truncated of that is the Autana, crossed of immense side to side by avernas, near its top located to 1450 meters.
The native, inhabitant primigenio of the amazonian region, knows perfectly what can take advantage of each plant, animal or mineral for its subsistence, as much in the forest as in the river, taking day to day strictly what needs. He decides part of his activity according to the atmospheric conditions, to the station, the phases of the moon and, of being necessary, he can orient itself by stars. That wisdom that has allowed him to overcome all the conquests, even ours, must deserve our respect, since he is the first defender, protector and conservative of our amazonian world.
To visit the Amazon is a experience that, simultaneously that hits and affects all our senses, lets the sensation to us have been near God.
Autana Mountain
Tepuy Autana Hill was declared natural monument in 1978. He is one of the tepuies of the south of Venezuela and approximately 4,000 feet of height. Within the mountain, there is a formed quartz cave entirely, that measures 1300 feet of length and 130 feet of height. In our passage of three days in boat by the Orinoco rivers, Sipapo, and Autana we will visit different indigenous communities. When arriving at our destiny we will make a march of two hours to the Guarahi Hill, from where we will have a spectacular Vista of the tepuies Autana and Cara of the Indian, the mountains sacred of the Piaroas Indians. In the Orinoquia Lodge you lodged in a comfortable churuata (a constructed small hut in indigenous style with palm ceiling), whereas during the tour we will sleep in hammocks with mosquito nettings. This tour particularly is adapted for people who want to experience the Venezuelan Amazonian forest, since she is developed through regions that are virtually almost intact.
This tour can be possible to do at any time of the year.
